SEMINARY PROGRAM
(WASHINGTON BAPTIST THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY)
Mission
The mission of WBTS programs is to equip the future church leaders, both lay and professional, to develop attitudes, skills and integrity to effectively reach all kinds of people for Christ. WBTS endeavors to give the best theological education not only to the current students but also to the graduates who have been involved in local churches. The seminary offers diverse programs to enhance their ministerial skills and competency.
Objectives
The seminary programs will enable the students:
1. To be equipped with sound biblical and theological knowledge.
2. To effectively share, teach, or preach the word of truth whenever the opportunity arrives.
3. To be equipped with Christ-like character and integrity so that they may be respectable men and women of God in their communities.
4. To empathize with the Korean immigrants who undergo many difficulties and serve them with teaching and counseling.
5. To demonstrate the meaning of servant leadership through their life, love and deeds.
6. To exert leadership in local churches in various ways, such as worship, teaching and counseling.
7. To take the name of Jesus Christ our Lord to peoples who do not share same language, tradition, diet, and worldview with us.
The seminary programs combine strong academics with practical experience. It is urgent, now more than ever, for Christian ministers to be equipped spiritually and intellectually to deal with this modern world. To help meet this need, WBU offers M.R.E., M.A.W.M., M.Div., Th.M., and D.Min.
