Master of Arts in Worship Music Leadership (M.A.W.M.)

Mission
The M.A.W.M. degree is an academic program designed for those who wish to serve primarily in worship settings in non-pastoral positions. The emphasis of this program is “providing worship music leadership” in local churches. This degree is a 63-credit hour program.

The M.A.W.M. may be a terminal degree, or serve as preparation for the Master of Divinity.

Objectives
The M.A.W.M. programs will enable the students:
1. To be equipped with sound biblical and theological knowledge.
2. To be equipped with Christ-like character and integrity so that they may be respectable men and women of God in their communities.
3. To understand the role and the significance of worship in Christian church.
4. To design and implement diverse worship programs for local church ministries.
5. To lead various worship services in local church settings.
6. To train laymen to be able to take part in worship at the worship services with better theological understanding.

The courses listed below are the requirements for the M.A.W.M. degree:

FIRST YEAR

BIB501 Introduction to the Old Testament I 3 credits

Total 9 credits or more

SPRING SEMESTER
BIB502 Introduction to the Old Testament II 3 credits
MSS601 Evangelism and Practicum 3 credits
*WML532 Digital Music Technology II 3 credits
*WML101 Music Theory I 3 credits
Total 9 credits or more
*Digital Music Technology I and/or II may be offered during the J-term or during the regular semester.

SECOND YEAR
