Master of Arts in Christian Counseling (M.A.C.C.)

Mission
The 63-credit hour M.A.C.C. degree is a graduate level program designed primarily for those who wish to prepare themselves for more effective counseling service in their church ministries. The course provides a more advanced concept of counseling and equips students with the skills necessary for practical counseling in addition to the in-depth study of the Bible and theology.

Objective
The M.A.C.C. program will enable students to:
1. Grasp more advanced concepts of counseling.
2. Cultivate better insight into human beings with regard to their psychological and spiritual predicament.
3. Investigate theological insights and psychological research for their contributions to an understanding of the counseling process.
4. Evaluate various secular and Christian approaches to counseling.
5. Have a biblical basis for understanding the issues people face in life.
6. Be competent in the design, implementation, performance, and assessment of counseling ministries in local churches.

The M.A.C.C. may be a terminal degree or serve as preparation for other higher degrees.
