How to Apply

Prepare the following
- Application form which you must sign.
- An official transcript and a statement of graduation of the last school attended
- A $200.00 nonrefundable application fee (check or money order in U.S. dollars made payable to WBU)
WBU ESL program is authorized to enroll foreign residents, who would enter the U.S. with a non-immigrant student visa (F-1). If you need the Immigration and Naturalization Service Form I-20 to apply for this visa, you will also need to send:
- A financial statement signed by you or your sponsor
- A bank letter showing a minimum of US$12,000 in a personal, family, or sponsor’s account, as indicated on the financial statement.
Advance payment of one Semester of tuition fees, to be received prior to issuance of the I-20 Form. This will be refunded fully if the F-1 visa application is rejected by USCIS.
Students who need the I-20 Form must send all the items to WBU by the application deadline, at least one month before the start of school.
If you wish your I-20 Form and acceptance letter to be sent by express mail, please include a $50.00 express mailing fee.
When you are accepted you receive the following
- A letter of acceptance
- I-20 Form, only for students who need to apply for the F-1 visa.
To obtain your student visa (F-1), take the Form I-20 and information on your financial resources to the American embassy or consulate in your country.
If you are transferring from another U.S. school, you need a letter of good standing from your previous school.
Financial Information
WBU strives to maintain a fair and reasonable financial policy that meets the needs of both the institution and the students. This policy is expected to be observed according to the biblical standards of ethics. The funds are usually generated from the tuition, gifts and also contributions from students, alumni, friends, and churches.
Students may fulfill their financial obligations to the school as followed: Students has an option to pay the full tuition amount at the time of registration or the qualified students could pay the tuition in three installments with the first payment being at least the 50% of the total tuition bill which is due on the registration. The second payment must be received by the end of the following month, and the third payment must be received by no later than 30 days from the second payment. The installment payment method requires submitting three (3) checks at the time of enrollment. The endorsed checks will be deposited as scheduled by the school.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
Students may pay by cash, check, money order or credit cards. Students making monthly payments pay interest monthly at the rate of five percent (5%) on the unpaid balance. Adjustments needed on payment schedule will be made on final payment. Enrollees initially pay an enrollment fee
