Admission Requirements
DLP adopts the same admission requirements as those for the regular on-campus students.

1. Necessary documents for admission

1) Application form (with a passport size photo)
2) Copy of the diploma from the last school attended
3) Transcript of the last school attended
4) Recommendation letter from the applicant’s pastor or professor
5) Application fee

2. Upon reviewing the above documents, the Admissions Office may inform the applicant of a scheduled test and interview.

3. Admission will be based on the applicant’s past academic competence and moral character, and personal testimony of faith, as evinced in testing and interview.

4. Admission decision will be made no later than two weeks prior to the first day of the class of each semester (the admission policy of international students will be separately specified).

Applications
DLP admissions are received and reviewed several times a year. But the classes will be administered on semester basis. Admission may be allowed after an interview with the Director of the DLP. With admission the student may start to take the courses.

Methodology of the Study
According to the course selections WBU will send the study materials. These include textbooks, lecture notes, audio, video, CD, DVD, and so on. (Presently WBU is working on providing lectures through Internet.)
According to the academic schedule of the on-campus program the DLP student must take the midterm(s) and final exam. The student should designate a proctor for the exam near his or her residence, who is not the student immediate kin and whom the school approves. The exam questions will be sent through the regular mail and/or the web mail. The student coordinates with the proctor when he or she is ready to test, and the proctor mails the tests to the school for scoring. It is the proctor’s responsibility to ensure the academic integrity of the testing process.

Short-term Courses
The DLP student may take up to 12 credits per semester. To take more than 12 credits, the student must get the permit from the Director of DLP.
If the student stops taking classes for more than two (2) years and wishes to resume the study, the student must take a test and pass in order to resume the program. When the student fails the test, he or she must reapply to the program.

The student who is a resident in the U.S. or Canada must finish one fourth of the class work required for graduation through the short term courses (J-term) offered in the main campus. The student who is outside the U.S. or Canada may be excused but he or she must attend the J-term at least once before graduation.

The short-term courses are offered twice a year, in January and in June. The possible credit for the short-term classes is either 2 or 3.

The student with I-20 may not take the DLP.

Credit Transfer
1. The school admits credits from other academic institutions under certain restrictions. WBU principally acknowledges the credits from the institutions accredited by ATS (for seminaries) and SCHEV (for colleges). Provisional admission may be granted on an individual basis to an applicant who graduated from an institution lacking regional accreditation in the U.S. and Canada.

2. Before the registration, the student must submit transcript(s) for assessment from the school(s) previously attended.

3. The credits may be transferable provided the classes taken have their corresponding classes at WBU toward the completion of the degree. The Academic Affairs Committee of WBU reserves the right to determine transferable grades and corresponding courses.

4. In transferring the credits for an undergraduate degree, only the grades of C or above shall be admitted and for the master’s the grades of B or above.

5. The number of transfer credits may not exceed 60 credit hours for B.A. and B.S., 45 for M.Div., 30 for M.R.E. No transfer credit may be allowed for the Diploma course.

Tuition and Refund
1. All fees and tuitions are due before the beginning of the semester. With the Registrar’s approval, however, the school may make provisions for installment schedules for some students in financial difficulties.

2. The school reserves the right to increase the fees and/or tuitions without prior notice.

3. In order to graduate the applicant must settle all the outstanding financial obligations to the school.

4. For the classes dropped before the first day of class, the school will return 100% of tuition fee, 100% within the first week, 80% within the second week, and 60% within the third week. After the third week, no refund.

Academic Advising
Each student is assigned a personal Academic Advisor who assists with choosing and scheduling courses and is available to answer any questions the student may have or to help solve unexpected problems. Presently the WBU is working on establishing a personal email for each student. Online services include email and ASIST. email serves as the primary means of communication between the school and the student. Using ASIST (Automated Student Information Services Tool), students may access and update their personal information, view their account balances, make online payments, view individual test and final course grades, email professors, view and calculate GPA, and apply for financial aid.
