Many of our Washington Baptist University students will be familiarizing themselves with the Northern Virginia area. Our current students embrace the plethora of eateries available for their palates; the city offers our students an opportunity to test their vocal talents at local karaoke studios; those who need to search for gifts for their loved ones will find themselves at the local boutiques, the Tysons Corner and Tysons Galleria II malls, and the ever-so-popular Leesburg and Potomac Mills outlets; students get their Hollywood and independent film watching kicks at the local mainstream and art-house theaters; and finally, our students have over 100 churches to choose from to further their religious growth.
The nation's capital is one of the most prestigious regions in the U.S. due to its cultural diversity. At only 15-20 minutes away from WBU by car or metro, our students will enjoy the architectural beauty of the Washington Monument, the White House, and the Lincoln Memorial. Students will marvel at the ethnic festivals and eateries, the architectures and museums, and the excellent sceneries throughout the district. Washington, D.C. is a city that makes our international students fall in love with their decision to study at Washington Baptist University.
