Bachelor of Science in Family Studies (B.S.F.)
Mission
The Bachelor of Science in Family Studies is a four-year degree program with focus upon educational and ministerial training. The curriculum is designed to help students to formulate basic biblical understanding of educational and counseling practices in Christian ministries.
Objectives
Students who successfully complete the B.S.F. curriculum will:
1. Demonstrate a basic knowledge of the Bible and evangelical Christian theology.
2. Be able to integrate basic general education courses with Christian faith and theology.
3. Have a basic concepts and knowledge about education and counseling in local churches.
4. Learn the basic skills in teaching and counseling in local church settings.
5. Demonstrate competence in pursuing higher degree in pastoral and missionary ministries.
Though this degree is largely designed to equip students for education and counseling ministry, it also provides opportunity to prepare for graduate programs, such as M.A.R., M.A.C.C., M.R.E. or M.Div.
